April Astrology Field Notes
Did you feel that pressure cooker we jumped into back in March? Yeah... you weren't imagining it. And spoiler alert: we don’t get a real exhale until around April 12th.
March hit HARD, not just because Aries season came in swinging. But, because Venus and Mercury were retrograde in Aries at the same time. 😮💨 No wonder it felt like we were charging headfirst into walls.
And listen... April isn’t exactly here to kiss our bruises either. Even though Venus and Mercury will finally station direct and slide into Pisces (cue the dreamy confusion), we’re still feeling the burn.
Eclipse season? Officially, we’re coming off it. Energetically? Nope. Still VERY much in it. The first week of April is revealing this month will be thick with endings and wild new beginnings. If you’ve been feeling like doors are slamming and gates are swinging open all at once — you're right on track. 🔥
Here’s the real secret though:
This season isn’t ambiguous. Aries + eclipses don’t play.
What’s over is obvious. What’s next is clear.
Trust what you’re seeing.
✨ Oh, and ICYMI: Neptune slid into Aries on March 30th. A BIG shift. You’ll want to keep an eye on world events now — they're not random. They’re revealing.
I’ll be honest with you…I’m in one of those moods where I’m calling it like I see it. It’s wild to watch so many people checked out right now, busy with distractions while some truly huge, soul-level shifts are happening.
But not you. You’re reading this. You know.
Stay awake. Stay tuned. April is just getting started.

Neptune in Pisces vs. Neptune in Aries
✨ Let’s pause here and look deeper at Neptune’s transition because understanding this shift is essential for understanding the moment we are living through.
Neptune in Pisces (2011 to 2024) was a period defined by the opening of the collective heart and vision. It dissolved boundaries between us, lifting movements for human dignity and collective care to the forefront.
It is no coincidence that during this time we witnessed the rise of Black Lives Matter, the Me Too movement, and a broader recognition of marginalized voices and communities. Neptune in Pisces called attention to where humanity had failed and still fails the vulnerable. It made visible the unseen, the unheard, and the unprotected.
But Neptune in Pisces does not only reveal. It also veils. It is a planet of vision and illusion. Dreams have bloomed during this time, but so have distortions.
When I reflected on the pattern, I asked myself, when was Neptune last in Pisces?
The answer: 1847 to 1861.
That era immediately called Harriet Tubman to mind.
During Neptune’s last passage through Pisces, Harriet made her courageous journeys back and forth, leading enslaved people to freedom. She is remembered for her extraordinary visions, spiritual guidance so precise it saved lives.
Her intuition was ancestral, powerful on its own. Yet it is important to notice that Neptune in Pisces was active during her missions, heightening the spiritual currents she was moving through.
I also thought about how enslaved people often used water as a way to cover their tracks, moving through rivers because dogs could not follow their scent.
Water, governed by Neptune, may have offered not just physical protection but energetic protection as well.
The earth itself was participating in their liberation.
When you understand that, you realize we are not just living through history. We are continuing it.
Neptune in Aries asks us to take the vision we were given and move it into action.
The time for dreaming is over. The time for walking it out has come.
So what do we do with this energy?
The first few weeks of Neptune in Aries demand that you pay close attention to yourself. Begin by noticing what you prefer.
This sounds simple, but it is not. Many people get caught up in masking, constantly seeking approval, and in the process, they lose touch with their true desires. They perform. They conform. They forget.
Stay in the want. Stay in the want. Stay in the want.
No matter what distractions arise, no matter how loud the external noise becomes, stay anchored in your desire. Notice what you prefer without judgment.
Ask yourself:
What have I been denying myself?
What have I convinced myself I do not need?
Where have I been shrinking to stay acceptable?
Things are shifting whether you are shifting or not. The ground beneath you is moving. Old structures are dissolving. New energies are rising.
As things shift, it becomes even more important to identify what feels off. Aries energy will not let you coast. It will amplify your intuition. It will stop you mid-movement. It will call your attention to everything that no longer fits.
Honor that. Trust the full stop. Let your body be the compass.
The most important thing you can do right now is notice. Listen. Choose yourself again and again.
The world is changing, and so are you. The more honest you are about your preferences and your desires, the more aligned your next steps will be.
📚Book Club Reflections: The Girl with the Louding Voice
This month we explored Adunni’s spirit through the lens of astrology and fire energy in The Girl with the Louding Voice by Abi Dare´. If Adunni had a zodiac sign, Aries feels like the clearest match. Her boldness, her willingness to speak even when she is told to be silent, and her raw honesty reflect the best and most vulnerable sides of Aries.
We also noticed the more tender parts of that fire. Adunni sometimes blurts out her truth without a filter, just like Aries energy can be impulsive and fiercely tied to tradition even while longing to break free. There is also a Sagittarian hunger in her. Her need to learn, to grow beyond what the world told her was possible, shines through every chapter.
Throughout the story, Adunni shows how courage, survival, and even anger can be sacred tools for change. She stands up not just for herself, but for generations before and after her, showing how one voice — even a "louding" one — can begin to heal ancestral wounds.
